Gochkeys Launches Gochkeys Professional Veterans

Park Ridge, IL – Gochkeys Professional Recruiters celebrated Veteran’s Day on Monday, 11 November 2024, by launching Gochkeys Professional Veterans, a subsidiary brand dedicated to increasing custom & contract manufacturers’ access to high-caliber veterans making career transitions.

“I’m pumped!” said Josh Schukas, Gochkeys’ Founder, Sr. Partner, and current Director of Recruiting.  “I have several veterans in my family, my favorites including an uncle who lost a leg in Vietnam and still climbs trees in his 70s to bow hunt, a special forces retired Navy S.W.C.C. cousin using his military engineering training to develop more efficient renewable fuels from natural gas, and an active duty Army cousin who’s one of the youngest women ever to achieve the rank of Staff Seargent.  But while all the veterans in my family are incredibly talented, they, like so many others, found transitioning from the military to the private sector to be a huge challenge. When veterans like them today ask, “What are my skills worth? Where are they relevant?” and “Will companies want to hire a veteran?” how are custom and contract manufacturers helping them find the most profitable answers for everyone?”

Erin Shea Hauri, a Gochkeys’ Partner and Senior Recruiter, reiterated how Gochkeys Professional Veterans is a natural extension of the firm’s 4 core deliverables: “When we partner with a mid-sized custom & contract manufacturer to conduct a talent search for a salaried role, we aim to deliver our clients a better “P.A.C.T.” That is to say, we use our proven, methodical, unique, 77-step ProCruitment® recruiting process to access candidates perceived unavailable, giving you the confidence you’re hiring the right person because you explored all the best candidate options, in the shortest amount of time.  By growing within the United States Veteran Community, we’ll only be better positioned to increase our mid-sized custom & contract manufacturing clients’ access to, and confidence with, hiring better candidates in a shorter amount of time.”

Andy Kirkpatrick, a US Naval Academy graduate, a US Navy nuclear engineer and submarine officer with over 22,000 miles under water, a US Naval Academy Foundation board member, and for the last 25+ years a C-level operating executive with leadership experience in virtually every element of a successful Medical Device business, described his role as a mentor to Gochkeys’ Professional Veterans by saying “all recruiting firms are not created equal. Gochkeys has demonstrated a personal passion for both helping veterans and working with mid-sized manufacturers who make the world a better place. I’m confident that offering them introductions and thoughts on exactly what a veteran’s experience means and could mean in the private sector will be valuable, and it’s a role I’m excited to play. I’m looking forward to this being a win for everyone – a win for veterans, a win for manufacturers, and a win for those who love to help both.”
